Prices are based on delivery and installation by a certified glazier. Costs may vary based on dimension, thickness, profile type, accessibility, and combinations with, for example, safety or solar control.
Practical considerations
- HR++ is standard in most homes and offers an excellent balance between cost and insulation.
- HR+++ glass is required for energy-neutral new construction or when using triple construction profiles.
- Laminated safety glass is recommended for doors, low windows (<85 cm from the floor), or burglary-sensitive facades.
- Soundproof glass is often combined with HR++ or HR+++ in urban areas.
- Solar control glass is useful on facades with a lot of sunlight (e.g. large south-facing windows).
Subsidy potential
When using HR++ or HR+++ glass in combination with other insulation measures (such as floor or facade insulation), a subsidy is possible via the ISDE scheme. The implementing company that you contact via jeofferte.nl can provide information about this in the quotation.
Important Factors Affecting the Price of Window Frames
1. Material type
The choice of material is one of the biggest price determinants. Plastic is generally the cheapest, followed by wood. Aluminum is the most expensive, but also the most low-maintenance and durable.
|
Material |
Indicative price level (low → high) |
|
Plastic |
€€ |
|
Wood |
€€€ |
|
Aluminium |
€€€€ |
2. Dimensions and shape
The larger the frame, the higher the price. Additionally, irregular shapes (such as round or angled frames) often incur an additional charge due to custom production and more complex installation.
3. Type of window or door
A fixed window is cheaper than a tilt-and-turn window, sliding window, or door. Moving parts require extra hardware, hinges, locks, and a different structural design.
4. Glass choice
The choice of HR++, HR+++, solar control, safety glass or sound-insulating glass directly affects the price. Thicker and heavier glass also requires profile adjustment.
|
Type of glass |
Relative additional cost per m² |
|
HR++ (standard) |
Base rate |
|
HR+++ (triple glazing) |
+ € 250 – € 400 per frame |
|
Safety glass |
+ € 180 – € 300 per frame |
|
Soundproof glass |
+ € 200 – € 350 per frame |

5. Color and finish
Standard colors (white or anthracite) are usually included. For other RAL colors, wood grain textures, or matte coatings, there is an additional charge, especially for aluminum and plastic.
6. Burglar resistance and fittings
SKG** or SKG*** approved hardware is required for the Politiekeurmerk Veilig Wonen (Police Mark Safe Living). Additional security options such as core pull protection, lockable handles or sensor contacts increase the price.
7. Ventilation facilities
Self-regulating ventilation grilles are often desirable for air quality, but incur additional costs, especially with longer grilles or electronic systems.
8. Interior finishing
Finishing with window sills, battens or soffit constructions may be included, but is not always standard in the price. Custom finishing or difficult connections lead to additional work.
9. Installation situation
Accessibility is crucial: a frame on the ground floor is easier to install than on an upper floor or dormer window. Additional costs for scaffolding, crane work, or temporary facilities may apply.
10. Number of frames per project
The more frames you have replaced, the lower the price per unit. Specialists often offer project discounts for larger volumes.
jeofferte.nl helps clients by making their request available to multiple specialists. This creates price overviews in which the above factors can be seen. The price differences per quote can in many cases be traced back to the choices made in these areas.
ISDE Subsidy 2025 – Glass Insulation with New Window Frames
The Investment Subsidy for Sustainable Energy and Energy Saving (ISDE) offers increased subsidy amounts in 2025 for the installation of insulating glass in combination with new, well-insulating window frames. The scheme applies exclusively to private homeowners and is intended to stimulate energy-saving measures.
Subsidy amounts per m² in 2025
|
Type of glass with new frames |
Subsidy for one measure |
Subsidy for two measures |
|
HR++ glass |
€ 25 per m² |
€ 50 per m² |
|
HR+++ (triple) glazing |
€ 111 per m² |
€ 222 per m² |
Two measures involve a combination with, for example, floor, roof or wall insulation, or with a heat pump or solar water heater.
Conditions
- The property is a private primary residence.
- The glass is installed in new insulating frames with a minimum energy performance (Uf ≤ 1.5 W/m²K).
- A minimum of 3 m² of glass surface area is replaced.
- The work is carried out by a professional construction or insulation company.
- The subsidy must be applied for within 24 months of completion.
- The scheme is available a maximum of twice per property (e.g. for phased implementation).
- 16 m² HR++ glass in
combination with new frames and roof insulation:
Subsidy = 16 × € 50 = € 800 - 20 m² HR+++ glass with
new frames and floor insulation:
Subsidy = 20 × € 222 = € 4,440 - 10 m² HR+++ glass with
new frames, without other measures:
Subsidy = 10 × € 111 = € 1,110 - Replacing glass without new frames is not eligible for a subsidy.
- Only HR++ or HR+++ glass is eligible (single glazing or standard double glazing is not).
- Combining measures is necessary for the higher amount.
- You will receive the subsidy afterwards, after the work has been carried out and paid for.
- You will need invoices, proof of payment, photos, and an installer's declaration for the application.
